Headbangers' Weekly Challenge: Feathers

This is my interpretation of this week's theme. A drop of water on a feather with colour added post-production in Lightroom. The feather has retained some of the oil from the bird it came off and that's how I could get a perfectly formed drop of water to sit so perfectly upon it. I haven't done too much of this low key type photography before but it's something I'm going to be learning and practising for the near future as I really like the effect.

This was Gail's choice of theme and she is leaving us this week. I hope we see you again soon.

  1. Lovely shade of purple you've chosen for your header pic. We've just bought Lightroom 4, but haven't really used it properly yet.

    1. I'd love to tell you what I know about Lightroom. It's taken me a year and a half to get to grips properly with it and there's still a couple of things I would like to ask someone about, but I certainly know enough to get you well on your way with it :)

  4. Thanks for the comments everyone. I was really pleased with these. Anyone could do this as long as you have a flash (off camera) and a black background. I'd be happy to share if anyone wanted help to do it too, or anything I have done in the past.
